Luft is a compact kitchen air purifier particularly designed for people living in rented accommodation that does not have existing built-in kitchen extraction, or where the existing extraction is not adequate. Luft uses internal sensors to check air quality and adjust purification power based on airborne pollution levels. Luft was my major project degree submission.
A large part of this project surrounded the testing I completed to ensure Luft made a significant difference to indoor air quality compared to doing nothing, using a recirculating kitchen extractor or opening a window. I completed thorough testing in the form of different cooking scenarios to ensure the highest possible levels of purification for the size of the product.
